Leeds United supporters travelling to Wembley this Sunday have been urged to plan ahead, with LNER issuing key guidance for the FA Cup semi-final trip to London.

LNER said services between Leeds and London King’s Cross will be extremely busy as thousands make the journey for the club’s first FA Cup semi-final in nearly 40 years, and it has added extra trains and seats on Sunday. Leeds play Chelsea at Wembley for a place in the FA Cup Final.

More than 2,000 additional seats have been provided in both directions, with limited availability remaining on the day.

Fans are advised to check the Travel Alerts page on the LNER website before setting off, arrive at stations in good time and travel only on their booked service using their reserved seat, otherwise they may need to stand.

Passengers are also asked to be considerate of others, with many travelling for the London Marathon on Sunday, and to treat rail staff with respect throughout the day.

Those not heading south can join watch-alongs at pubs across Leeds.
