Brentford loanee Tristan Crama scored the only goal of the game as Exeter City defeated Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

The defender headed in the winner from an Ed Francis corner midway through the second half to help the Grecians end a three-game losing run in League One.

That goal was Crama’s second of the campaign, having previously found the net against Northampton in August, with the 23-year-old also making it seven clean sheets so far this term.

Ellery Balcombe also starred in a victory for his loan side, with the goalkeeper saving a penalty in St Mirren’s 2-1 win at Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership.

Balcombe denied Martin Boyle in the second half from the spot but was beaten from 12 yards by Nicky Cadden in stoppage time.

A first-half brace from Conor McMenamin was the difference as the Saints made it seven points from their last three games.

Balcombe's goalkeeping colleague Ben Winterbottom also enjoyed a successful weekend as he kept a clean sheet in AFC Fylde’s 3-0 win against Gateshead in the National League.

Tyler Roberts, Gavin Massey and Nick Haughton were on target for the hosts.

On Sunday, Myles Peart-Harris started for Swansea in their 1-0 loss at Championship high-flyers Burnley.

The attacking midfielder was replaced in the 77th minute by Kyle Naughton, with Jay Rodriguez converting a stoppage-time penalty to claim the three points.

Both Frank Onyeka and Val Adedokun featured in Europe over the weekend.

Onyeka played the duration of Augsburg’s goalless draw against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, while Adedokun came off the bench for Diósgyór midway through the second half of their 1-0 win against Fehérvár.

Finally, Michael Olakigbe wasn’t included in Wigan’s matchday squad as the Latics lost 1-0 at home to Wycombe courtesy of Joe Low’s early effort.
