Loïs Openda marked his Lyon debut with a lively display but could not prevent a 1-2 defeat at Sparta Prague in the Champions League third qualifying round first leg on Tuesday.
L'Équipe notes that Paulo Fonseca had said after the 0-4 reverse against Betis Sevilla on 29 July that his side needed a player like Openda. The former Lens forward, 26, completed the full match.
