London City Lionesses sign former Brighton full-back Pattinson | OneFootball

London City Lionesses have completed the signing of former Brighton & Hove Albion full-back Poppy Pattinson on a free transfer.

The Pride announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website yesterday.

The 25-year-old former England youth international full-back joins London City Lionesses after leaving former club Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this summer.

Pattinson spent three years with The Seagulls in which she cemented her place at left-back. The player has also turned out for Sunderland, Manchester City, Bristol City and Everton in her career to date.

On the international stage, Pattinson has represented England at various youth levels up to and including Under-23 level. She is still awaiting an opportunity at senior level.

After joining London City Lionesses, Pattinson said “Becoming a London City Lioness is very exciting; I want to help the team as much as possible and bring my experience and strengths to the club. I want us to finish as high as we can and make our mark in the WSL.

“I’m tenacious, I love to win, I’ll do anything to win, I love to get up and down the pitch and deliver crosses.”

Pattinson is London City Lionesses’ fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
