The Pride announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website this evening.
The 23-year-old defender joins London City Lionesses from Spanish giants FC Barcelona. Fernández joined the Catalan club’s academy system as a 12-year-old and she went on to feature for the FC Barcelona B Team before breaking into the first team squad. The player has gone on to clock up more than 50 appearances for the club at first team level.
On the international stage, Fernández has been capped by Spain on 11 occasions at senior level. She represented her country at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.
After joining London City Lionesses, Fernández said “It’s an ambitious project; I’m really looking forward to the start of the season.
“London City have made really good signings. I’m excited to get to know the coach, learn how we want to play and I’m so excited to be in the WSL.
“I’m excited to get back on the pitch with María [Pérez], she was my former teammate, and Elene Lete from the Spanish national team as well.
“We have a really good team, a really good environment and the girls are really nice, so we can make really good things happen.”
Fernández is London City Lionesses’ 12th signing of the summer transfer window.
