Lorenzo Lucca is set to leave Napoli for Nottingham Forest in a winter loan, ending Benfica’s pursuit. According to Fabrizio Romano on X, the forward has accepted Forest’s proposal to move to the Premier League.
Benfica had already walked away from the deal, and, per Record, they have turned attention to Jeff Ekhator at Genoa in recent days.
It appears Forest will pay about €1 million for a loan to the end of the season, with a purchase clause that could reach €40 million including variables.
He had wanted to remain in Italy while seeking an exit, and Pisa also missed out.
This season, Lucca has played 23 times for Napoli, 16 in Serie A, five in the Champions League, one in the Supercoppa and one in the Coppa Italia. Across 595 minutes, he has scored two goals, holds a contract to June 2028 and is valued at €25 million.
