Claudio Lotito says Lazio have signed Petar Ratkov from RB Salzburg and Kenneth Taylor from Ajax as the club accelerates its January business.
The Biancocelesti have already sold Taty Castellanos to West Ham United, announced on Monday, and Matteo Guendouzi bid farewell after Wednesday's draw with Fiorentina as he is set to join Fenerbahce. Il Messaggero reports Lotito left the Olimpico an hour before full time but still spoke briefly to reporters.
Lotito said players who want out will be allowed to go, adding that Castellanos and Guendouzi asked to leave after lucrative approaches and behaved professionally. He rejected any notion of a firesale or dismantling and pointed to the quality within the squad.
He insisted every exit will be covered, saying Guendouzi goes and Taylor comes in, and that Taylor's signing is done. Ratkov and Taylor have arrived for medicals on Thursday, and he added recruitment will continue with players who choose Lazio.
In recent weeks, Giacomo Raspadori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek were identified as Maurizio Sarri's preferred options. The coach has said he does not know anything about Ratkov. Lotito stressed the club selects the players while Sarri coaches them, with a scouting department at Formello monitoring talent worldwide.
