As Il Messaggero reports, Lazio president Claudio Lotito is seeking a truce with organised fan groups amid escalating boycotts.
Supporters have grown disillusioned, angered by last summer’s transfer ban and a January window they felt weakened the squad.
Organised groups refused to attend the last two home matches against Genoa and Atalanta, urging others to follow, leaving Maurizio Sarri’s side to play in a largely empty Stadio Olimpico.
That picture will be replicated when Atalanta visit for the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg on 4 March, with only 2,000 of 29,000 season-ticket holders having registered their seats.
Lotito is now prepared to call a round-table meeting on the advice of sporting director Angelo Fabiano, judging the impasse unsustainable on sporting and financial grounds.
The planned summit would gather supporters, journalists, industry figures and academia, with three large venues under consideration, and would act as a dress rehearsal for the club’s general assembly later this year.
It remains unclear whether fan representatives will attend or continue their protest until Lotito sells the club, their ultimate demand.
