Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are set for a high-stakes UEFA Champions League semifinal clash, with just 180 minutes separating them from a spot in the final. Although the two sides met earlier in the group stage, the Parisians are a different side now.
The Gunners punched their ticket to the semifinals with a confident 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the second leg, capping off a dominant 5-1 aggregate victory.
PSG also advanced with a 5-1 lead intact, but their journey was far more tense—narrowly surviving as the tie ended in a nail-biting 5-4 on aggregate.

Ahead of the match next week, PSG manager Luis Enrique spoke with the media on Monday and he was asked about defending set pieces against the Gunners as Declan Rice scored two incredible goals in the first leg against Real Madrid.
Here’s what Enrique had to say about this concerning issue that the Ligue 1 club need to prepare for (h/t Canal Supporters):
“We’re going to prepare for it the same way we did against Liverpool. It’s a team with at least as much potential as Arsenal. We won’t prepare our team specifically based on that aspect of the game. We use direct or short corners depending on what we feel is most effective and dangerous for the opponent. I believe we’re operating at a very high level.”
