Madrid residents breathe a sigh of relief as Santiago Bernabéu concerts are postponed until 2025 | OneFootball

Over the last six months or so we’ve reported multiple times on the ongoing battle between Real Madrid and their local residents over the use of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium for concerts.

The stadium’s neighbours have long been in opposition of the use of the stadium for concerts, citing noise concerns and how the loudness coming from said concerts can ruin their quality of life.

The resident group in opposition of these concerts has received some good news as an announcement has been made that all concerts at the venue will be postponed until 2025.

As reported by ELDesmarque, the postponements will allow the club to carry out renovations on the stadium to isolate the noise from these concerts and address residents’ concerns.

This is bad news for the club’s finances, as they will be forced to pay out of their own pocket for these renovations, while there will be a lot of lost revenue stemming from these postponements.

A total of five concerts will be affected by the postponements, with rearranged dates to be no sooner than March 2025.
