The Senegal international joined Bayern Munich on a season loan last summer, but will return to Chelsea after the obligation to buy in the deal wasn’t triggered.
Jackson won the Bundesliga and German Cup last season, but played second fiddle to Harry Kane for the majority of the campaign.
The 24-year-old scored 11 goals in 34 appearances for Bayern in all competitions, and would have cost Bayern an additional £56.2m on top of the £14.3m loan fee.
Jackson is attracting interest from clubs in Italy, whilst there’s also believed to be Premier League interest, although it’s unclear what Chelsea’s valuation is.
The Senegalese will return to Chelsea, and it’s been reported the Blues will hold meetings with his representatives over his future in the coming weeks.
Jackson will be at the World Cup with Senegal which starts next month, so any decision will likely be made once his participation concludes.
Mail Sport have reported Jackson is prepared to stay at Chelsea as long as he gets his fair share of game time, with the main reason for his move to Bayern the breakdown in his relationship with Enzo Maresca.
The report adds Jackson is still highly regarded internally, and the final decision on his future will be taken by Xabi Alonso and the sporting leadership team.
