Mamelodi Sundowns have completed the signing of highly rated youth international goalkeeper Lwandiso Radebe from SuperSport United, Foot Africa can confirm.
The 16-year-old shot-stopper came through the Matsatsantsa youth structures from the SuperSport Soccer Schools program.
Radebe, who is heavily tipped to be one of the best goalies ever produced in South Africa, has already racked up 21 youth international caps.
He has featured in several tournaments, including the COSAFA U17 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in 2024 and was subsequently part of the South African U17 national team for the continental showpiece in Morocco earlier this year.
In addition, Radebe recently captained Amajimbos to a CAF U17 AFCON 2026 COSAFA qualifiers title, where they beat Angola 2-1 in the final, thanks to goals from Omphemetse Sekgoto and Siyabonga Mbongo last month.
The newly acquired Downs starlet is expected to start in goal when Amajimbos grace the pitch in the U17 FIFA World Cup set to be staged in Qatar from 03 to 27 November 2025.
South Africa have been pitted in Group A with the hosts, along with Italy and Bolivia, with Africa boasting 10 representatives in the recently expanded global showpiece.
