Man City manager, Andrée Jeglertz
The manager will speak to the press at 14:30 (UK) on Friday 1 May.
That will be available to watch live on mancity.com and our official app, with written and video recaps to follow shortly after it concludes.
It’s a return to the Joie Stadium for Gareth Taylor, who spent five years in the blue half of Manchester, where he helped lift both the Women’s FA Cup and League Cup.
Taylor was appointed as Liverpool’s new head coach in August 2025 ahead of the new season with the Reds hoping to begin looking up the table.
However, after a tricky start, they found themselves fighting at the wrong end of the table, although a recent upturn in form has seen them open a sizeable gap over Leicester City at the foot of the WSL table.
It was a tight battle in the reverse fixture with City coming out on top 2-1, although it wasn’t to be without a scare.
Jeglertz’s team found themselves behind after 52 minutes when Cornelia Kopcs found the back of the net; however, Iman Beney levelled things up just 12 minutes later.
Aoba Fujino then netted a winner on the road with four regular minutes left to play, sealing a huge three points for City.
City fell to defeat on the road last weekend against Brighton in what was a slight blip on our charge for the WSL title.
An early goal from Kerolin set us up for the afternoon; however, goals on either side of half time from Madison Haley and Kiko Seike put the Seagulls in front, before their American forward added a third.
A 19th goal of the season from our talismanic Bunny Shaw saw the deficit halved in second half added time. Despite our best efforts, Brighton left with all three points.
The match will be available to watch in the United Kingdom on TNT Sports 1 and HBO Max, and further broadcasting details from around the world can be found via livesoccertv.com.
(Listings correct as of Sunday 26 April).
