Kevin De Bruyne set for final Manchester derby after announcing summer exit
Kevin De Bruyne will feature his final Manchester derby after confirming he will leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
De Bruyne has scored three goals and registered six assists in 21 matches against Manchester United during his 10-year career at the Etihad.
But the midfielder has only started one of the last eight Premier League fixtures.
“The impact of some players transcends even what you’ve done on this pitch,” said City boss Pep Guardiola when speaking about De Bruyne ahead of the game. “Kevin is one of them.”
Omar Marmoush scored in the midweek win over Leicester and will again lead the line with Erling Haaland out with an ankle injury.
Savinho and Jeremy Doku have been Guardiola’s preferred wingers of late, while Jack Grealish impressed in the No10 role in midweek.
Ilkay Gundogan could make way for fresh legs in midfield, with Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic options to start alongside Nico Gonzalez.
Abdukodir Khusanov could come back into the team after being rested against Leicester.
Josko Gvardiol will revert back to left-back should Khusanov return.
Phil Foden is out of form but does have a good record against Manchester United.
Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake, John Stones remained sideliend for City, along with Rodri.
Predicted Man City XI: Ederson; Nunes, Dias, Khusanov, Gvardiol; Gonzalez, Bernardo Silva; Savinho, Grealish, Doku; Marmoush
Injured: Akanji, Ake, Stones, Rodri, Haaland
