A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has made his way onto the winter wishlist of Premier League outfit Manchester United.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.

Defender Christensen, for his part, has endured a difficult campaign to date in Catalunya’s capital, restricted to just a solitary appearance owing to a long-term Achilles issue.

Now back fit and no doubt raring for action, however, it remains unclear if the Danish international actually features in the plans of head coach Hansi Flick.

And one outfit eager to take advantage of such uncertainty, it is understood, are the aforementioned Manchester United.

As per MD, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at the back, the brass at Old Trafford have earmarked Christensen as a leading option.

The Red Devils are very much aware of the 28-year-old’s past endeavours in England whilst on the books of Chelsea, and could move to bring him back as soon as next month.
