On-loan Manchester United star Marcus Rashford remains fully committed to the idea of making the move to Spain with Barcelona this summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.

The name of attacker Rashford of course took its place front and centre in the headlines at the aforementioned Barcelona this past January.

As much came after the winger – owing to his playing characteristics and availability on loan – was identified as the ideal addition to Hansi Flick’s squad.

In the end, no such transfer was forthcoming, with Rashford having gone on to pen terms with Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.

If the latest word stemming from the media on Wednesday is anything to go by, though, then the 27-year-old appears to have no interest in extending his time at Villa Park beyond the summer.

In fact, Rashford is understood to have come to the conclusion that his time in England is finished entirely.

As per a report from Sport, the winger has one landing spot and one landing spot only in mind:

‘His objective is to try to play for Barça and his entourage has already made it known to the Blaugrana leaders that he is willing to reduce his salary so that the operation can be viable from an economic point of view. Rashford will do everything possible to wear the Blaugrana shirt.’

It now remains to be seen if the interest on the part of Deco and the Camp Nou brass remains mutual…
