Mason Mount returned to Manchester United training ahead of the Europa League round of 16 leg with Real Sociedad and Manuel Ugarte was also involved.
Mount has not played for United since December because of yet another injury problem.
The midfielder has been plagued by injury issues since his move to the club from Chelsea but looks set for a return after training with his team-mates ahead of Real Sociedad.
He has played just 12 times in all competitions this season and managed just 20 appearances across the entirety of the last campaign.
Amorim has previously spoken highly of Mount and his excitement to work with the midfielder.
I have to tell you I love that kid,” Amorim said before his first game in charge. ”You can look in his eyes that he wants this so bad. And this is the most important thing for me.
“I know he was suffering from injuries, he was not on the pitch, but now he’s trying to stay fit and we hope he can continue to be fit, to show all the talent that he’s shown, for example, in Chelsea.”
Manuel Ugarte was also involved in team training having missed the last two games – the first-leg against Sociedad and then the draw with Arsenal on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Amorim said the Uruguyan midfielder could be involved: “Maybe Ugarte,” he revealed. “I don’t know, we’ll see.”
But United have been dealt another blow in central defence with Leny Yoro looking set to miss the game on Thursday.
Yoro was forced off against Arsenal and was not spotted taking part in the part of United’s training session which was open to the media.
Speaking about his injury, boss Ruben Amorim said: “Leny, he has something in his foot. We’ll see if he’s available on Thursday.”
Harry Maguire also did not take part in the training session having missed the games against Sociedad and Arsenal and looks set to be sidelined again.
Amorim remains without Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Altay Bayindir and Jonny Evans through injury too.
The United boss said Amad could return before the end of the season, with Martinez the only one certain to miss the rest of the campaign because of an ACL injury.
