Manchester United are preparing to travel to London to take on the Premier League and Champions League group stage leaders Arsenal.
The EPL contest will take place at the Emirates Stadium, and it kicks off on Sunday at 16:30.
Last week, Michael Carrick outfoxed Pep Guardiola en route towards a commanding 2-0 victory on his managerial debut. However, the celebrated Spanish manager has now warned the new Man Utd boss that he’s about to face what he described as the best team in the world at the moment.
The domestic and European league standings certainly back Guardiola’s claim, as the Gunners have been dominant on all fronts since the start of the season.
So, how will United line up against their in-form hosts?
While Carrick refused to expressly reveal any team selections in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, his statements still left a few hints.
For instance, the 44-year-old reserved special praise for Kobbie Mainoo and Diogo Dalot, so it appears that the duo are set, unsurprisingly, to maintain their spots in the lineup.
On the other hand, Carrick suggested that Benjamin Sesko still has some adjustments to make, and that he and the technical staff will help him make a step-up in quality.
Therefore, the Slovenian will likely remain on the bench for the second week in a row, but we shall see if Matheus Cunha will be able to regain his starting spot.
The head coach admitted that the Brazilian made a ‘huge difference’ after coming off the bench against Man City, but he could be inclined to keep his lineup unchanged, utilising the former Wolves star as a second-half super-sub.

Hence, the Man Utd lineup will likely remain intact, with Carrick adopting the old cliche: “You don’t change a winning team”.
Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire were both exceptional last week, so they should link up once more at the heart of the backline, flanked by Dalot and Luke Shaw.
Mainoo will combine with the departing Casemiro in the double pivot, with Bruno Fernandes operating behind the striker, flanked by Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorgu.
Man Utd predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Lammens; Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Mainoo; Amad, Fernandes, Dorgu; Mbeumo.
