Manchester United 3-0 West Ham

Scorers: Geyse 28', Galton 45+3', Clinton 53'

Manchester United put on a show for their fans at Old Trafford with an emphatic victory over West Ham to open the season.

United took the lead midway through the first half, when Brazilian forward Geyse showed great strength and composure to hold off a defender and finish at the near post.

The hosts then made it 2-0 in first half stoppage time, with Leah Galton opening her account for the season with a cracking finish.

United increased their lead early in the second half through Grace Clinton, when she headed home unmarked in the box.

Brighton 4-0 Everton

Scorers: Seike 29', 56, 75, Kirby (PEN) 68'

Kiko Seike netted a hat-trick and Fran Kirby scored from the penalty spot as the two Brighton debutants put Everton to the sword.

Seike had already impressed on her Seagulls debut before she opened the scoring midway through the first half with an outrageous long-range chip.

Into the second half and Seike's debut got even better when added a second goal with her head to make it 2-0.

Before another debutant - Kirby - made it 3-0 from the penalty spot.
