Man Utd to focus on Fernandes after Éderson agreement

Manchester United have begun talks with West Ham United over Mateus Fernandes after coming to terms over the signing of Éderson.

The Red Devils are set to sign the Brazilian from Atalanta for an initial £35 million with a further £3.8 million to be paid in potential add-ons with only a medical and other formalities left before the deal is made official.

Éderson's arrival is the beginning of a midfield revamp for Michael Carrick's side which is now set to turn its attention to Fernandes.

The Hammers are hoping to get as much as possible for the 21-year-old, who scored four and made four assists in 38 games for the relegated side last season.

According to Rob Dawson of ESPN, the Manchester side have already made contact with West Ham over the player.
