Leeds United resume their Premier League survival bid at Manchester United on Monday night, with early team news pointing to three out and seven doubts. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, a Whites star is expected back before the 8pm kick-off.
Michael Carrick’s side last played the Friday before the international break, a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth after Junior Kroupi’s penalty denied them victory, so Monday is 23 days since their previous outing at Old Trafford.
Leeds beat West Ham in Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final, but the win appears to have come at a cost. The Red Devils still have injuries and a suspension, while Leeds have the longer list.
Manchester United doubts include Benjamin Sesko, who withdrew from March internationals and may be available, but uncertainty remains. Lisandro Martinez has missed the last five games with a calf issue and is thought to be close, yet still a doubt.
Matthijs de Ligt is a major doubt, essentially out since November with a back problem, and Carrick has said they are trying to bring him back quickly. Bryan Mbeumo is a slight doubt after a knock at Bournemouth and pulling out of Cameroon duty, though he is expected back.
Leeds had Gabriel Gudmundsson absent at West Ham with a minor groin issue. Joe Rodon suffered an ankle problem early in the second half and was forced off, with Farke saying he rolled it and will be assessed, adding there is time before the next game.
