Red Devils looking to book spot in quarter-finals after draw in Spain
Manchester United are eyeing a place in the Europa League quarter-finals as they entertain Real Sociedad in the second leg of their last-16 clash later this week.
United drew 1-1 with Sociedad in the first leg last week and will believe they can reach the final eight at the very least.
It will be the first game the club have played since United confirmed plans to leave Old Trafford and build a new 100,000-seater stadium next to it.
With that in mind, it will be fascinating to see what kind of atmosphere the supporters will generate on a big night of European action at the Theatre of Dreams.
A Bruno Fernandes free-kick helped the Red Devils claim a 1-1 draw against Arsenal in what a creditable second-half performance from Ruben Amorim’s side, while Sociedad lost to Sevilla on Sunday.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
Manchester United vs Real Sociedad is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off time on Thursday 13 March, 2025.
Old Trafford in Manchester will host.
TV channel: The game will be broadcast on TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate.
Live stream: Subscribers will be able to watch via the Discovery+ website and app.

Mason Mount is back in Manchester United training

Manuel Ugarte is in contention after returning to training and could replace Casemiro in central midfield.
Mason Mount was back in United training too but this game will come too soon. Leny Yoro and Harry Maguire will not feature, while none of other injured players are set to return.
Patrick Dorgu is available, however, despite a domestic suspension following a red card against Ipswich.
Young striker Chido Obi is not illegible for the competition.
There are perhaps signs of life from United, who will feel disappointed they did not beat the Gunners on Sunday.
While they remain difficult to trust, Amorim is seemingly starting to get a grip on things and should feel confident about turning what promises to be a big occasion for the supporters into a potentially season-saving victory.
