In a recent report, The Daily Mail mentioned that Manchester City are keeping a keen eye on Nottingham Forest ace Morgan Gibbs-White. It is understood that the Mancunian club will have to compete with Manchester United in pursuit of the English attacker this summer.
Gibbs-White has enjoyed a good run of form at the Midlands club as he has produced a string of productive displays for them in the final third. The English talent has played in 37 matches for Nottingham this season, finding the back of the net eight times and picking up five assists in multiple competitions.
The 26-year-old is currently among the best playmakers in the Premier League. Thus, it is no surprise that Man City are among the clubs hoping to land him this off-season.
Gibbs-White is under contract at the City Ground until the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian club to sign him later this year.

Gibbs-White can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field. He can even make some driving runs with the ball in and around the opponent’s penalty area.
The English sensation can also contribute by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his side. Gibbs-White is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also serve as a box-to-box midfielder or as a right-sided wide player if needed. He has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Man City.
Gibbs-White would no doubt enhance the quality of Pep Guardiola’s first team. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting place at the Etihad Stadium in the coming years.
At 26, Gibbs-White has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Mancunian giants to consider later this summer. He would even help Man City challenge across all fronts in the future. Therefore, Guardiola should focus on trying everything in his power to get a deal over the line for him in the upcoming transfer window.
