In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester City are monitoring the progress of Hertha Berlin midfielder Kennet Eichhorn. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian club are keeping tabs on the development of the German talent this summer.
The 16-year-old has come through the ranks of Hertha Berlin and has done well to break out as a first-team starter for them recently. Eichhorn has made 18 senior appearances for the German club this season, finding the back of the net twice in all competitions.
The German talent is currently one of the most promising young midfielders back in his homeland. Hence, Man City would do well to bring him on board in the upcoming transfer window.
However, Eichhorn is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth at the highest level. Still, the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting him this summer, so the Mancunian giants would be wise to move in for him later this year.

Eichhorn is a tough-tackling midfielder who can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and is proficient at playing his way out from midfield.
The German sensation can even chip in by scoring the odd goal for his team in the final third. Eichhorn is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also fill in as a box-to-box midfielder if asked to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Man City manage to snap him up later this year.
We can expect Eichhorn to add more quality and depth to Pep Guardiola’s midfield department in the long run. He might even help the Mancunian giants compete for a lot of major trophies over the next decade.
At 16, Eichhorn has got the potential to be a future star in English football. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch for in the long run, so Guardiola would be wise to move in for him at the end of this campaign.
