In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester City are showing interest in Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian giants are eyeing a move to sign the Ghanaian wide player next year.

Semenyo’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

Semenyo has enjoyed a good run of form at Bournemouth in this campaign so far as he has put in a series of eye-catching displays for them in the Premier League. The 25-year-old has registered eight goals and earned three assists in 17 appearances for the Cherries this season across various competitions.

The London-born talent has proven himself to be a reliable presence on the right flank based on his average of 2.25 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has kept 52.8% of his attempts on target. However, Semenyo has distributed the ball relatively well, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 70.3% in the English first division (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2030. Hence, Man City would have to make a big offer if they want to sign the Ghanaian speedster next year.

Will Semenyo Be A Good Signing For Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola?

Semenyo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas.

The Ghanaian sensation is primarily a right-winger but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player or play as a centre-forward if needed. He has proven himself to be a consistent performer in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Man City.

Semenyo would add more quality and depth to Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola’s attacking department. He is good enough to challenge Jeremy Doku for a regular starting spot at the Mancunian club in the coming seasons.

At 25, Semenyo has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a good signing for Man City to pursue this January or at the end of this campaign.
