Shockwaves at the Etihad. According to Spanish outlet AS, Bernardo Silva has made up his mind about his future: the Portuguese attacking midfielder will not renew his contract with Manchester City.

Arriving from Monaco in 2017, Silva has over the seasons become one of the cornerstones of Pep Guardiola’s system. His current deal runs until June 2026, and despite City’s desire to keep him, the 31-year-old seems ready to open a new chapter in his career.

In eight seasons wearing the Citizens’ shirt, Bernardo Silva has played 410 official matches, scoring 72 goals and providing 73 assists. A true engine in the squad, he’s been instrumental in numerous titles, including several Premier League trophies and the 2023 Champions League.

The Portuguese star’s future is already attracting the attention of Europe’s elite clubs. FC Barcelona, long an admirer, could renew their pursuit, while Paris Saint-Germain—frequently linked with his profile—remain interested.
