Manchester City forward Pritchard joins Crystal Palace on loan | OneFootball

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Manchester City forward Poppy Pritchard on a season-long loan deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Eagles this afternoon.

The 18-year-old joined parent club Manchester City from Barclays Women’s Championship side Durham back in January. Pritchard was involved in several Manchester City matchday squads in the second half of last season, although she is still awaiting her debut for the club.

On the international stage, Pritchard has represented England up to and including Under-19 level.

Pritchard is in need of regular first team football if she is to continue to develop and Manchester City have allowed the player to join newly-promoted Crystal Palace on loan.

After adding Pritchard to the Crystal Palace squad, the club’s Head of Women’s Football, Grace Williams said “We are delighted to have Poppy here with us this season.

“We look forward to bringing her into the side and giving her the opportunity to test herself further in the WSL.”

Pritchard could make her debut for Crystal Palace when the club travel to Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of the new Barclays Women’s Super League season. The player is The Eagles’ 11th summer signing.
