Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola is unstoppable. With Manchester City's victory over Liverpool yesterday, the mastermind has once again cemented his place in football history.
On Sunday, during the blockbuster clash against Liverpool (3-0) in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola took charge of the 1,000th official match of his managerial career (42 with FC Barcelona B, 247 with Barcelona, 161 with Bayern Munich, 550 with Manchester City). And his record is simply staggering. Guardiola has claimed 716 victories, with only 156 draws and 128 defeats; his teams have scored a total of 2,445 goals and conceded just 813.
The Spanish tactician is the third most-capped manager in Champions League history, behind only Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti. Guardiola boasts 40 trophies in his glittering career, including 3 Champions League titles, 12 domestic league crowns, and 10 national cups. At 54, Guardiola is far from done writing his legend.
