PSG had reportedly been keeping tabs on Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki, who’s also attracting strong interest from Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a standout season, tallying 12 goals and 20 assists in 44 appearances. His breakout campaign has made him one of the most talked-about young talents in Europe.

Graeme Bailey of TBR Football previously reported that Manchester United are among several Premier League sides keeping a close watch on Cherki. Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Newcastle are also believed to be in the mix.

And it’s not just English clubs circling. Bayern Munich and PSG were both thought to have rejoined the race following Cherki’s recent form. But according to Foot Mercato, PSG have since backed out. No discussions are taking place, and none are expected anytime soon.

TEAMtalk reports that after missing out on Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, Manchester City have shifted their focus to versatile attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki. The Lyon star reportedly sees a move to the Etihad as a step toward fulfilling his ambition of playing at the highest level.

According to the outlet, City have already opened talks with Lyon, signaling their intent to add more creativity to their midfield ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
