In a recent post on X, Brazilian news outlet NT Vascainos stated that Manchester United are keeping a keen eye on Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are the main contenders to land the Brazilian talent next summer.

Santos’ Impressive Form In The Premier League

Santos is having a decent campaign at the West London club as he has put in a series of eye-catching displays for them in the middle of the park. The Brazilian talent has been involved in 35 matches for Chelsea this season, scoring one goal and grabbing four assists in all competitions.

The 21-year-old is currently among the most promising young midfielders in English football. Hence, Man United would do well to get him on board later this year.

His current contract at the West London club will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for the Red Devils to sign him on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.

Is Santos A Decent Choice For Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick?

Santos loves a tackle and can read the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and is a good passer as well.

The Brazilian sensation can contribute by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team. However, he has to find a way to be more consistent at the highest level. Santos is already familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder if needed.

We can expect the Brazilian talent to improve the quality of Man United boss Michael Carrick’s midfield in the long run. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford in the coming seasons.
