In a recent report, The Sun claimed that Manchester United are showing interest in Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall. It has been revealed that the Red Devils are eager to get a deal done for the English defender in this summer transfer period.

Hall’s Impressive Form In Premier League Football

Hall enjoyed a decent run of form at the Tyneside club last season when he put in a few impressive displays for them on the left flank. The 21-year-old scored one goal and secured a couple of assists in 47 matches for Newcastle in the previous campaign across multiple competitions.

The English sensation is currently among the most talented full-backs in the Premier League. Hence, it is no wonder that the Red Devils are trying to bring him on board later this year.

His current contract at St. James’ Park will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Man United to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

What Will Hall Add To Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick’s Team?

Hall loves a tackle and can read the danger well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and is a tidy passer as well.

The English sensation is a decent crosser of the ball and can make some driving runs with the ball on the left flank. However, Hall has to find a way to improve his productivity going forward. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club.

We can expect Hall to add more quality and depth to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s defence. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford in the coming seasons.

At 21, Hall has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each year. Thus, Carrick would be wise to try everything in his power to lure the English left-back to Old Trafford before the end of this summer transfer window.
