Nottingham Forest could face a busy summer after a quiet winter, with Manchester United linked with a double move for midfielder Elliot Anderson and defender Murillo, according to TEAMtalk.
The Reds added Lorenzo Lucca, Stefan Ortega and Luca Netz for the run-in. Arnaud Kalimuendo departed, while the loans of Douglas Luiz and Oleksandr Zinchenko were cut short.
United have been credited with an interest in Anderson for some time, and he is said to feature prominently on their wish list. He has also been linked with Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, while Newcastle would like him back after his 2024 exit from St James’ Park.
United are also thought to be monitoring Murillo’s situation. The most high-profile interest is expected to come from within the Premier League, with Chelsea tipped to push for him.
Even so, the defender is said to be becoming open to testing himself on the continent. Real Madrid are said to be keen, but there are doubts over whether they would meet Forest’s significant price tag.
Murillo, 23, signed a new deal a little more than 12 months ago, keeping him at the City Ground until 2029. He joined from Corinthians for £11 million in summer 2023 and has since become a key player.
