Manchester United make direct contact with West Ham over Crysencio Summerville  | OneFootball

Manchester United are keen to sign West Ham United star Crysencio Summerville in the ongoing transfer window. 

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Red Devils have made direct contact with the Hammers over a move for Summerville. 

With United set to compete on multiple fronts next season, the club’s hierarchy are keen to add quality and depth to the squad. 

While strengthening midfield remains the main focus, they are also keen to sign a top-class winger, and Summerville fits the bill. 

West Ham’s relegation to the Championship has inevitably placed several of their stars in the shop window. 

Mateus Fernandes has already joined Tottenham Hotspur for £85 million, and Summerville has been linked with an exit. 

The 24-year-old impressed with his performances for the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup, notching two goals and two assists in four appearances. 

He was also one of the standout performers for West Ham last season, making nine goal contributions in 31 Premier League appearances.  

With Summerville effectively under contract until 2030, the Hammers hold significant leverage in transfer negotiations and may demand a huge fee for a sale. 

United had a strong interest in Fernandes, but they refused to pay an exorbitant fee. United could face the same issue with Summerville.
