Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski, seeing the Polish striker as a prime opportunity in the transfer market.
According to English sources, as relayed by SPORT, the Premier League side believe they can convince Lewandowski to continue his career in England, offering him a chance to shine in one of Europe’s top leagues.
It must be noted that Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona is drawing more attention as the season progresses.
His contract expires at the end of the campaign, and it seems unlikely that the club will offer an extension. If that happens, he could leave on a free transfer.
Despite this uncertainty, the striker has made it clear that he wants to remain in Europe for at least another year, and several top clubs are expected to approach him.
While Lewandowski focuses on finishing the season strongly with Barcelona, his representatives are actively exploring opportunities elsewhere in Europe.

Reports suggest he is likely to decline offers from Saudi Arabia, which have been persistent for years, and instead seek a club that allows him to compete in the Champions League or join a highly prestigious team.
His agent, Pini Zahavi, recently met with AC Milan, who were updated on Lewandowski’s availability and situation.
Manchester United have now joined the race as they consider the Barcelona forward a perfect addition to improve the team’s attack and help develop young talents.
United signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, and they feel that the experienced Lewandowski could provide invaluable guidance and take the squad’s offensive game to another level.
For what it is worth, the Polish star has already told Barcelona that he is willing to stay for one more season, even if it means taking a smaller role in the squad or reducing his salary.
The club has taken note of his intentions but will only make a decision on his future at the end of the season.
