Manchester United set for blockbuster transfer battle with fierce rivals Liverpool, Chelsea for Kenan Yildiz

Since INEOS took over, Manchester United have focussed on signing young stars instead of big-name players and next summer is expected to see more of the same.

Ruben Amorim needs reinforcements up front with Rasmus Hojlund struggling to find the back of the net. It is clear he needs support and acquiring a versatile option makes a lot of sense.

Juventus wonderkid Kenan Yildiz fits INEOS’ model of signing young players with room to grow and the Turkish star can play all across the frontline as well as an attacking midfielder.

He is only 19 and has six goals and four assists this season. While the Bianconeri would love to keep hold of him, failure to qualify for the Champions League could force them to sell.

Yildiz fits INEOS’ profile

A price of €90 million has been mooted with the Red Devils opening talks with Juventus over a summer move. But as per Tutto Sport, the Old Trafford side are not the only English team chasing the Turkiye international.

Chelsea are also long-term admirers and they even tested the waters to acquire him during the January window but were turned down.

Fierce rivals Liverpool are also looking at the former Bayern Munich starlet as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who could be on the move after the season.

“In the summer, Manchester United seem ready to return to the fray to try to get hold of Yildiz as well. United and not only that: Chelsea also asked for information from the Turkish talent’s entourage.

Liverpool, Chelsea also eyeing Yildiz

“It’s no mystery that Maresca wants a winger and had already tried to test the waters in January, during negotiations for Veiga’s loan move to Juve from the Blues.

A rekindling of the flame cannot therefore be ruled out. But watch out for Liverpool too. With the permanence of Mo Salah and Luis Diaz in strong doubt, the feeling is that around Anfield Road they will try to take an offensive winger. And in the short list of candidates there is also the name of Yildiz.”

Yildiz is reportedly unhappy with Thiago Motta, who has been overlooking him in recent games. Which makes an exit even more probable.

But Motta, himself, could be sacked given the Old Lady’s poor form and that could potentially change the attacker’s mind. An intriguing saga awaits.
