Manchester United are interested in signing AC Milan attacker Rafael Leao this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Man United want to strengthen their options in the final third ahead of next season and could look to bring the Portuguese forward to the Old Trafford club.
Leao could be available for around £60 million, but the Red Devils are not the only ones keen on the 26-year-old, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid also monitoring his progress.
The versatile forward is ‘one of the best wingers in Europe’, with 80 goals and 65 assists to his name across the last seven seasons since he joined Milan.
Man United could do with his versatility and quality as he can play as a left winger and a number 9.
Leao’s pace, passing and dribbling abilities are skills the Red Devils could do with in an attacker.
He could provide Benjamin Sesko with the quality competition and cover the Slovenian striker needs, but pipping competition to his services could be tricky.
Man United and other suitors have all been making enquiries and would prefer to get any deal done before the World Cup as Milan could increase their asking price should he impress at the tournament.
More attacking players are expected to be linked with the Red Devils in the coming weeks, and Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell will hope to get the perfect man for the job.
They also want to strengthen at the back, with Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven reportedly on their radar.
West Ham United midfielder Matheus Fernandes is being watched as the Red Devils look to bring in two players in the position.
Manuel Ugarte could be on his way out as Man United co-owner Jim Ratcliffe is of the view that the 25-year-old Uruguayan should be sold, and a major squad change could come in handy for the club.
