Manchester United’s André Onana and Chelsea’s Djordje Petrović considered by Monaco as goalkeeper pursuit continues | OneFootball

AS Monaco are looking to add a goalkeeper to their ranks, as confirmed by the club’s CEO, Thiago Scuro, at the end of last season. Neither Radoslaw Majecki nor Philipp Köhn sufficiently convinced over the course of the camaign and therefore the goalkeeper position is one of the major priorities for the Principality club during the ongoing transfer window.

Many candidates have been considered for the role. Djordje Petrović, who has returned to parent club Chelsea but who seems to have no future at Stamford Bridge, given his exclusion from the club’s FIFA Club World Cup squad, has been considered, as per L’Équipe.

Manchester United’s André Onana, who had a tough campaign at Old Trafford last time around, has also been considered, as was former Manchester United shot-stopper David De Gea, before he opted to extend at Fiorentina. Barcelona’s Marc-André Ter Stegen has also been targeted, as has Ugurcan Cakir of Trabzonspor. It is not clear which of these options remain on the table as Monaco look to sign their new No.1.
