Mancini renews deal until 2029, Cristante until 2028 | OneFootball

Roma is currently working to secure the contracts of Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante.

The two Giallorossi players’ contracts expire in 2027, but the club wanted to accelerate the process to avoid the arrival of other teams.

Agreements between the parties involved have been reached; only the signatures and announcements are missing.

The defender and the midfielder—as reported by Gianlucadimarzio.com—will expire in separate periods.

The former will remain with the Giallorossi until 2029, while the number 4 will remain with the club until 2028. If the decision is made to extend these new agreements as well, the parties will have to resume negotiations.

Cristante and Mancini are poised to cement their place in Roma’s history books. Cristante has already entered the top 10 for appearances (364, tied with Masetti), and with this new agreement, he could reach Giuseppe Giannini in sixth place (435 appearances). The Giallorossi defender, however, is further behind.

The 1996-born player currently sits at 16th place on 319 appearances. He’s still within reach of the top 10, and if he stays the starting defensive midfielder for a long time, he could even surpass some Giallorossi legends. If a renewal agreement is reached, Lorenzo Pellegrini can also hope to join his idols, but for now, there’s a distance between the number 7 and the club.
