Manchester United Women take on SK Brann in the third round of Champions League qualification tomorrow.
The Red Devils have already beaten PSV Eindhoven 4-0 and Hammarby 1-0 to make it to this stage.
United also started the league on a positive note, crushing Leicester City 4-0 on Sunday.
Speaking to the club’s official website, manager Marc Skinner has provided an update on the fitness of his squad ahead of the match in Norway tomorrow.
He claimed that not only the result was perfect but that “there are no new, fresh niggles. We’ll find out today but not that I am aware of.”
United have had a few injury concerns over pre-season, especially new signing Fridolina Rolfö being unable to play any part in the season as of yet.
Skinner stated, “that also means, I think, we are soon to hopefully welcome back Frido [Rolfo] and Gabby George. Whether it’s this midweek or whether it’s the London City [Lionesses] game at the weekend.”
The English coach also suggested that there might be good news on veteran striker Rachel Williams as she could potentially be back in the squad this weekend.
Unfortunately Leah Galton and Simi Awujo are expected to be out for a little while longer.
Skinner claimed that he is happy with the work the club did during the transfer window but confirmed that there will be attempts to strengthen the squad again in January.
He added, “I’ve said this before, I know that the fans have been a little bit nervous around the depth and I also understand that we need to do work in the winter window, for sure, to supplement the depth in the team.”
Nonetheless the manager confirmed that he was very happy with the squad that he currently has and that “the quality in our group is incredible.”
