Uruguay arrived in Miami later than planned after an administrative delay to their flight, but Marcelo Bielsa said the disruption would not affect preparations for their World Cup opener.
According to L'Équipe, the Cancún to Miami service was held up on Sunday, with the delegation landing at 20:15 local time. The pre-match news conference, initially set for 20:00, was pushed to 21:40 and still went ahead.
La Celeste face Saudi Arabia on Monday at midnight local time in their first game of the tournament.
Bielsa addressed fitness concerns, noting minor discomfort for Ronald Araujo, and said he and his staff felt responsible for the situation.
He confirmed Uruguay would line up in a 4-3-3 with a holding midfielder, as usual, while keeping his starting XI under wraps for Saudi Arabia.
