According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos president Marcelo Teixeira used social media on Monday to defend his administration, criticise those uninterested in the club’s growth and call for unity among members and supporters.
Santos have one win this season, sit 14th in the Paulistão and opened the Brasileirão with a defeat. They are winless in six and head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda is under pressure.
In his message, Teixeira said the club has been in a reconstruction for two years, focused on organisation, responsibility and long-term planning to regain strength. He pointed to 2024, when Santos finished runners-up in the Paulista and won the Série B title.
He added that in 2025 the team returned to four competitions, including one international, which raised the club’s profile at home and abroad. He cited strategic projects such as the new Arena and the SAF project, aimed at modernising the club and ensuring future sustainability, and said some have tried to create crises off early 2026 results.
Teixeira accepted that no supporter is satisfied with the current campaign and asked for a vote of confidence to pursue 2026 targets, as in 2024 and 2025. He said the rebuild needs time, adjustments and, above all, unity.
