Marí to undergo Valencia surgery today and bids farewell to Mirandés

Alberto Marí will undergo surgery in Valencia today on a left biceps femoris injury, ending his Mirandés season.

The player said in a post that injuries are part of the game and that he will return as he always has.

He suffered the problem late on in the defeat to Ceuta three games ago, having come on in the second half to chase a comeback. He left the pitch visibly dejected and tests carried out days later confirmed the severity.

Following medical assessments and consultation with his parent club Valencia, an immediate operation was scheduled for the left hamstring.

Marí also thanked the Mirandés support for making him feel at home this season. After surgery he will begin rehabilitation, with his comeback to be made for Valencia.
