Despite the insistent links to Roma, Davide Frattesi isn’t close to leaving Inter. President Giuseppe Marotta and coach Simone Inzaghi addressed the midfielder before and after the successful trip to Venezia. The exec dished to DAZN (via Mediaset).

“He’s a great guy and a good professional. He absolutely hasn’t asked us to transfer. It’s a window where a request can happen overnight. We don’t want to sell anybody, but, if a player voices his desire to change, we’ll hear him it out. However, there are no concrete elements to stay that he wishes to switch sides at this stage.”

In addition to addressing Frattesi, Marotta looked ahead to the summer.

“There’ll be some turnover but not a revolution. There’ll be small modifications because we have a competitive squad filled with serious lads. We’re monitoring the market. The bargains that might emerge need to be seized, should they coincide with the needs of the club.”

Inzaghi commented on Frattesi during his post-game presser.

“I count a lot on him. He’s fully part of the project. He’d like to have more room, but he’s aware that he faces stiff competition. We want to move forward with him. It’s absolute not true that we had a fight. It was just a long talk. If I were him, I’d stay put.”

Claudio Ranieri was quizzed about Frattesi as well by Sky (via Tuttomercatoweb).

“There’s nothing defined yet. Logically, you can’t spend all that money.”

According to the publication, the Giallorossi are preparing their offer for January, which will comprise a large cash portion through a multi-year payment and a veteran makeweight.
