Former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is back at Marseille on a free deal, just a year after he left the club.

The 36-year-old striker had moved to Saudi side Al-Qadsiah last summer but parted ways with them earlier this month, again on a free.

Reports suggest he’s agreed a contract with Marseille that runs until 2027.

The Gabonese forward had a strong season with Al-Qadsiah, notching up 21 goals and three assists across 36 appearances, helping them to a fourth-place finish and a run to the King’s Cup final.

This marks his second stint at Marseille, where he previously racked up 30 goals and 11 assists in 51 games during the 2023-24 campaign.

This is Roberto De Zerbi's fourth summer signing following the arrivals of  Facundo Medina, and English players Angel Gomes Gomes and CJ Egan-Riley.
