According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Olympique de Marseille have sent Edon Zhegrova (26) an “important proposal,” with the southern club pushing to secure his signature ahead of the end of the transfer window.
As previously reported, Marseille have been keen to add the Lille OSC player to their ranks as they embark on a campaign that will see them return to the UEFA Champions League. Zhegrova is considered a player who can add some extra firepower on the flanks and will provide competition to Mason Greenwood (23).

Foot Mercato explained on Wednesday that the two teams have now begun negotiations, with discussions centring around a loan deal with a permanent option attached. Zhegrova will be leaving Lille at the end of the season, even if this deal cannot be agreed, as he has entered the final year of his contract and has no intention of agreeing to an extension.
