Olympique de Marseille have reopened talks to sign SCO Angers’ Himad Abdelli (26), according to a report from Foot Mercato

Abdelli has not played for Angers since the match against Marseille earlier this month. It was revealed pre-match by manager Alexandre Dujeux that the Algeria international had reached an agreement on personal terms to join OM.

However, initial talks between the two clubs did not give rise to an agreement. Talks had, for a time, stopped, with Marseille aware that they can bring the playmaker to the club on a free transfer in the summer.

But with the transfer window nearing its end, Foot Mercato now report that there are now fresh talks between Le Sco and Les Phocéens. There is now fresh optimism that a deal can be done and that Abdelli can become a Marseille player.

It is expected to be a busy end to the window for OM, who have already signed Quinten Timber and Ethan Nwaneri.
