Roma wants to please Gian Piero Gasperini by bringing Mason Greenwood to the capital, the player the coach believes can boost the attack.
The move isn’t easy, but the Giallorossi are pushing for the English winger, who knows he’s the Grugliasco-based coach’s first choice.
Greenwood has also been able to develop nearly every attacking player under his management. This is no small detail.
To sign Greenwood, Roma will have to make an unprecedented financial effort.
As Fabrizio Romano reports, Marseille are not lowering their asking price for the 2001-born player: €50 million plus €5 million in bonuses. This is also what emerged from the latest discussions between the clubs.
Contacts between the Giallorossi and the player are ongoing and have been ongoing for weeks. It remains to be seen whether the French club will lower their demands; Roma hopes the figure will decrease as the weeks go by.
Marseille’s financial demands are influenced by the high percentage Manchester United holds on the future resale of the 2001-born player. Further developments are awaited.
