Martim Fernandes misses FC Porto training before Stuttgart tie

Martim Fernandes missed FC Porto’s Tuesday training due to gastroenteritis, ahead of Thursday’s Europa League last 16 first leg in Stuttgart.

According to O Jogo, Nehuén Pérez, Luuk de Jong and Samu also remain out, with Pérez on a restricted programme, de Jong in treatment and gym work, and Samu in treatment.

Francesco Farioli called up defenders Luís Gomes and António Ribeiro, midfielders Tiago Silva, André Oliveira and Bernardo Lima, and forwards André Miranda and Trafim Melnichenka from the B team, plus junior Filipe Sousa, for the session.

Porto will train again on Wednesday at CTFD Jorge Costa, with the first 15 minutes open to the media.

They are due to fly to Germany at 15:00, then hold their usual walkaround on the MHPArena pitch at 18:30.
