Barcelona will lock horns with Girona at the Estadi Montilivi this Monday night as they look to secure a good result on the road in La Liga. The Catalan giants suffered a dismal 4-0 loss away at Atletico Madrid recently, so they would be desperate to bounce back by securing a win versus Michel’s men.
Hansi Flick will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Gerard Martin and Robert Lewandowski could both play from the start of this contest.
Joan Garcia will feature in between the sticks for the Catalan club after he conceded four goals in his last outing. Pau Cubarsi will function alongside Gerard Martin at the heart of Flick’s defence as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the field.
Jules Kounde will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Alejandro Balde hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.
Joao Cancelo and Ronald Araujo will offer cover for the defensive positions on the Barcelona bench.

Frenkie De Jong and Eric Garcia will anchor the midfield for Barca as they focus on making life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Fermin Lopez, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal will operate just ahead of them as part of the Barca attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Catalan club are to come out on top this Monday night.
Marc Bernal and Roony Bardghji will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Robert Lewandowski will lead the charge for the Catalan giants up top. He has to figure out a way to be a constant menace in the final third.
Ferran Torres will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Barca are in need of a goal by then.
