Manchester United will entertain Aston Villa at Old Trafford this Saturday as they hope to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils suffered a tough 2-1 loss away at Newcastle United earlier this month, so they would be eager to bounce back by securing a win this weekend.

Michael Carrick will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a couple of changes to his first team for this game. Both Lisandro Martinez and Diogo Dalot could play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Senne Lammens will play in between the sticks for the Mancunian giants after shipping in a couple of goals in his last outing. Harry Maguire will function alongside Lisandro Martinez at the centre of the Man United backline as they hope to keep a solid shape when defending inside their half.

Diogo Dalot will try to put in a good performance as the right-back, while Luke Shaw hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well before offering support to their teammates up top.

Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven will be named on the bench as they provide cover for the centre-back positions.

Midfield

Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro will anchor the midfield for the Red Devils as they focus on making life difficult for the visitors in the middle of the park.

The talented trio of Matheus Cunha, Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo will operate just ahead of them as part of the Man United attack. All three of them need to combine well if they want to cause problems for the Aston Villa defenders this weekend.

Manuel Ugarte and Amad Diallo will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if required.

Attack

Benjamin Sesko will spearhead Man United‘s attack up top. He has to figure out a way to be a real threat on the offensive end of the field.

Joshua Zirkzee will be named on the bench as he awaits his chance to shine in the final quarter if needed.
